The FilterLogic FL-003 represents a low-cost solution for customers looking for a good quality ceramic/block carbon filter for Franke FilterFlow systems.

IMPORTANT NOTE: these are different from Triflow/Uniflow cartridges as the head of the filter DOES NOT have a screw thread. If you have purchased your Franke tap since sept 2012 then this is the filter you require and NOT the Triflow/Uiflow filter as it was previously known).

Franke Filters are essentially a high-quality ceramic shell filled with a block carbon element which removes chlorine, sediment and dissolved organics.

This cartridge is of similar construction, although in order to reduce flow problems the ceramic is not quite as refined as the original cartridge.

This is due to customer demand, as it reduces blinding and prevents slow flow rates. This means the cartridge has not been certified for use with water that is micro-biologically unsafe.

If you rely on a ceramic filter as a sole source of disinfection on a private supply (i.e. a well or a borehole) you should not use this filter.

However, if you are on a mains supply (i.e. you pay the water board) then this isn't a consideration and this filter should suit your purposes just fine.
