This compatible UKF9001AXX is a high capacity replacement for the UKF8001AXX - which is suitable for Admiral, Amana, Maytag fridge freezers. If you have an American style side-by-side refrigerator that uses the Puriclean II filter then this cartridge will serve as a direct replacement, and, due to customer demand has been made available again for these models.
The UKF9001AXX improves on the previous specification UKF8001AXX with an activated carbon block filter element that is certificated by NSF International against Standard 42 for reduction of Chlorine and Standard 52 for reduction of cysts, lead, turbidity.
