Finerfilters’ Salt-Free Water Softener Alternative (SFWS) systems use an advanced filtration process that prevents the formation of limescale by converting scale causing minerals (such as calcium & magnesium) into inert microscopic crystals.

This prevents the formation of limescale deposits as these minerals are no longer able to bond and stick to your pipes or appliances.

The media we use has been tested by independent laboratories and researchers, and has a proven 99.6% rate of effectiveness - the only non-salt technology to do so! It even continues to be up to 90% effective when tested with water that is 500ppm (extremely hard water).

The housing is simply installed on your main cold water feed for whole-house applications and at the point of use before smaller appliances such as coffee machines and boilers.

Our systems use standard 3/4" or 1" BSP inlet and outlet ports so are easily plumbed into existing mains pipework by any plumber.

Prevents limescale formation and also removes existing scale build-up. A traditional softener will only prevent new scale formation.

This will in turn reduce energy consumption and improve the efficiency of your water heaters and boilers, essentially lowering energy bills. The longer you use the system, the more apparent this becomes.

Hard water is naturally occurring but the scale it leaves behind can have a very detrimental impact on the efficiency and life of your plumbing and appliances, such as heaters and boilers. It also inhibits the formation of soap suds, meaning you use more detergents and soap when washing clothes or bathing. Traditional salt-based water softeners remove the minerals which cause limescale build-up, but also remove minerals that are essential for us such as calcium & magnesium and replace them with large amounts of sodium making the water supply undrinkable.

This is usually remedied by creating two water feed lines - one salt-treated line, and one untreated line. Meaning more work for your plumber, increasing the cost of installation which you likely paid a lot for already. Not only are traditional water softeners expensive to install they also require constant rejuvenation and chemical cleaning in order to maintain performance, which comes at further cost to the planet and your wallet!

• Feed water needs less contact time than softener resin, so smaller systems can be used, making it perfect for whole house filtration, even if you have limited space.
