Newton Multi-technology is designed to provide high-quality drinking water as a stand-alone filter or as part of a comprehensive filter system. This moulded block technology using synthetic fibres is designed to greatly reduce particulates, Microbial Cysts, Chlorine taste and odour, and Lead.
Newton Multi filters are a modified compressed carbon; this technology creates a unique filter media by attaching powdered activated carbon and lead adsorbent material onto a cellulose-free synthetic fibre matrix. The end product results in higher reduction efficiencies that resist plugging, afford a long life and feature the lowest pressure drops over the effective life of this filter versus any available 0.5-micron cartridge.
Lead is seldom found naturally in domestic water supply but can result from the dissolution of lead pipes which may still be used in old water systems. The zeolite metal ion reduction medium in the Newton Multi-element effectively reduces the lead content in drinking water.
