Technical Specifications
5 Micron 20" Slimline Spun Sediment Filter
A 5 Micron 20" standard Sediment filter is used to take out sediment and particles.
Sediment filters can be used for pre-filtration to help to protect sensitive equipment, such as ultraviolet (UV) systems and pumps to ensure that water is clear of particles that could otherwise block or inhibit the workings of the product as well as making drinking water more palatable.
These filters will fit standard 20” housings.
Please Note: These are 20” filter cartridges and not the 10” which is used on standard residential RO units.
Finerfilters 20" GAC/KDF Water Filter Cartridge
Filter cartridge with activated coconut shell carbon and non-woven polypropylene material removes chlorine and organic compounds (KDF filtration).
Will fit any standard size 20" housing. Suitable for aquatic and domestic use. Good replacement for GAC filters as additional KDF media removes more contaminants such as heavy metals.
KDF process media works to reduce or remove chlorine, iron, hydrogen sulphide, lead, mercury, calcium carbonate, magnesium, chromium, bacteria, algae and fungi. Media removes up to 98% of water-soluble cations (positively-charged ions) of lead, mercury, copper, nickel, chromium and other dissolved metals. In most cases, more than 98% of chlorine is removed if operated within recommended flow rates.
Pentek CHLORPLUS 20" Carbon Block Filter
This Pentek ChlorPlus 20 carbon block filter cartridge reduces chlorine and chloramine in residential and commercial drinking water. It has a nominal filtration rating of 1 micron at an efficiency of 85%. The cartridge is made of bonded powdered activated carbon (PAC) media with a polyolefin core and shell and polyethylene outer netting. A Santoprene gasket provides a watertight seal. The filter will reduce free available chlorine (FAC) at 2 parts per million (ppm) by at least 75% in up to 50,000 gallons at a flow rate of 1 gallon per minute (gpm), and reduce 3 ppm chloramines by at least 75% in up to 1,000 gallons at a flow rate of 1 gpm. The filter has an initial pressure drop of 6 pounds per square inch (psi) at a recommended flow rate of 1 gpm, and operates over a temperature range of 40°F - 180°F (4.4°C to 82°C). This carbon block filter cartridge is used for treatment of residential and commercial drinking water.
Specifications
Nominal filtration rating - 1 micron
Initial pressure drop at 1 gpm - 6 psi
Chlorine reduction capacity - 83,000 gallons at 1 gpm
Chloramine reduction capacity - 12,000 gallons at 1 gpm
Operating temperature range - 40°F - 180°F (4.4°C to 82°C)
Maximum dimensions (H x W) - 9-3/4 x 2-7/8 inches (248 x 73 mm)
The nominal filtration rating is for a particle removal efficiency of 85%. Chlorine reduction capacity is the minimum total amount of water for which the free available chlorine (FAC) at a concentration of 2 ppm is reduced by at least 75%. Chloramine reduction capacity is the minimum total amount of water for which chloramines at a concentration of 3 ppm are reduced by 75%.
