The ideal pressure required to push water through the membrane depends upon several factors such as incoming water TDS and temperature but around 60 PSI (4 BAR) is acceptable.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eReverse Osmosis Systems waste water to make water, this is normal and is how all RO systems operate.\u003cbr\u003eThis is due to how the membrane rejects the impure water, which goes to the drain, to produce pure water.
