Delivery Policy

Delivery Policy

Last updated: 23 June 2026

At Finerfilters, we aim to despatch orders quickly and keep our delivery information clear and transparent. This Delivery Policy explains the delivery services we use, estimated delivery times, remote-area charges, international shipping and what happens if there is a delivery issue.

1. UK mainland delivery

We offer free standard delivery to mainland UK for orders over £30, unless otherwise stated at checkout.

Depending on the size, weight and contents of your order, we typically use Royal Mail, FedEx or DPD for standard mainland UK deliveries.

Standard delivery services may include:

  • Royal Mail Tracked 48;
  • FedEx tracked services;
  • DPD tracked services; or
  • another appropriate service stated at checkout or in your order confirmation.

Delivery times are estimates only and are not guaranteed. Most standard mainland UK orders are expected to arrive within 2 to 3 working days from despatch.

Delivery times may vary because of public holidays, courier delays, weather conditions, industrial action, seasonal demand or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.

2. Same-day despatch

Where available, we aim to provide same-day despatch on weekdays for orders placed before our daily cut-off time, excluding UK public holidays.

Our daily cut-off time for same-day despatch is 14:00.

We may still be able to despatch orders placed after this time, but same-day despatch is not guaranteed.

If your order is placed after the cut-off time, during a weekend or on a public holiday, it will usually be processed on the next working day.

3. Highlands, islands and remote areas

We offer free standard UK delivery for small parcels under 2kg where the total order value exceeds £30 to certain non-mainland UK destinations where this remains operationally viable.

Additional courier charges may apply to:

  • parcels weighing more than 2kg;
  • deliveries to the Scottish Highlands;
  • deliveries to Scottish islands;
  • deliveries to Northern Ireland;
  • deliveries to the Channel Islands; and
  • deliveries to other remote postcodes.

Affected delivery areas may include, but are not limited to:

  • AB;
  • BT;
  • FK;
  • GY;
  • HS;
  • IM;
  • IV;
  • JE;
  • KA;
  • KW;
  • PA;
  • PH; and
  • ZE.

Where additional remote-area charges apply and cannot be calculated automatically at checkout, your order may be placed on hold.

A member of our customer service team will contact you before despatch to confirm the additional cost and the options available to you.

If you do not wish to proceed with the additional delivery charge, you may cancel the order before despatch and receive a full refund.

4. International delivery

We offer delivery to selected destinations outside the UK.

International orders are typically shipped using DPD, DHL or another appropriate courier, depending on:

  • the delivery destination;
  • the size and weight of the parcel;
  • the type of products ordered; and
  • service availability.

Delivery times for international orders are estimates only. International deliveries may be affected by customs processing, local courier handling, country-specific restrictions, weather, holiday periods, industrial action and other events outside our reasonable control.

If your order contains multiple items, we may consolidate those items into a single shipment where practical.

Delivery charges for international orders will usually be based on the combined weight, size and destination of the order unless alternative arrangements are agreed.

5. Customs, duties and import charges

For orders delivered outside the UK, you may be required to pay:

  • import duty;
  • VAT or other local taxes;
  • customs charges;
  • courier administration or handling fees; or
  • similar charges imposed in the destination country.

These charges are not controlled by Finerfilters and are the responsibility of the customer unless expressly stated otherwise at checkout.

Finerfilters is not registered with the Import One-Stop Shop scheme. As a result, overseas customers may not be charged VAT at checkout and may instead be required to pay VAT, customs charges or handling fees in the destination country.

We recommend checking with the relevant local customs authority before placing an order so that you understand any additional costs that may apply.

Customs processing and delays are outside our reasonable control. We are not responsible for losses caused solely by customs delays, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

6. Delivery timeframes

We will make reasonable efforts to despatch and deliver your order within the estimated times shown on the website or at checkout.

Unless we agree a different timeframe with you, goods should be delivered within 30 days of the contract being formed.

If a delivery delay occurs, we will try to keep you informed where reasonably possible.

Delivery estimates are not guaranteed and may be affected by events outside our reasonable control.

7. Tracking information

Where a tracked service is used, tracking information will normally be provided in your despatch confirmation email or through the chosen courier’s tracking service.

If your order has been despatched using Royal Mail Tracked 48, delivery is usually expected within 2 to 3 working days from despatch.

If your parcel has not arrived within that timeframe, please allow additional time for possible courier delays before contacting our customer support team.

In some cases, the courier may require a short waiting period before opening an investigation into a delayed parcel.

8. Address accuracy and address changes

Please make sure that your delivery address is complete and accurate when placing your order.

If you notice an error in the delivery address, please contact us as soon as possible. We will do our best to help before despatch.

For security and fraud-prevention reasons, we may not be able to amend the delivery address once an order has been despatched.

We are not responsible for delays, failed deliveries or additional costs arising from incorrect or incomplete delivery information supplied by the customer, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

9. Missed deliveries, failed deliveries and returned parcels

If a delivery attempt is unsuccessful, the courier may:

  • leave a calling card or electronic notification;
  • attempt redelivery;
  • redirect the parcel;
  • hold the parcel at a local depot or collection point; or
  • return the parcel to us.

If a parcel is returned to us because:

  • the delivery address was incorrect or incomplete;
  • the parcel was not collected;
  • the parcel was unclaimed;
  • delivery was repeatedly attempted but could not be completed; or
  • the customer refused delivery without first contacting us,

we reserve the right to charge any reasonable additional redelivery costs that apply.

If the order is cancelled after it has been returned to us, any refund may be reduced by direct return or failed-delivery costs that we have reasonably incurred.

This will not apply where the failed delivery was caused by our error or where consumer law requires otherwise.

10. Damaged, missing or delayed deliveries

If your parcel arrives damaged, appears to be missing items or contains incorrect items, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible.

Please provide:

  • your order number;
  • a description of the issue;
  • details of any missing or incorrect items; and
  • photographs of the parcel, delivery label, packaging and contents where possible.

Please retain the goods and all packaging while we investigate the issue.

If your parcel is significantly delayed, please contact us and we will investigate with the courier where appropriate.

Nothing in this Delivery Policy affects your statutory rights where goods are faulty, damaged, misdescribed, incorrectly supplied or not delivered as required by law.

11. Risk and delivery completion

Risk in the goods passes to you when the goods are delivered to:

  • the delivery address you provided;
  • a person identified by you to receive them; or
  • a safe place, collection point or alternative location selected or authorised by you.

Ownership of the goods remains with Finerfilters until payment has been received in full.
