The AP2-C405-SG is one of the most versatile filters in the market. It has a 0.5-micron carbon block, making it bacteria rated.It has heavy metal removal media, allowing metals such as lead to be removed from the water.
The SG in the model refers to scale reduction, meaning it contains polyphosphate which is a scale inhibition media.Finally, the carbon block main body is highly effective at removing Chlorine which removes the foul taste, smell and odour attributed to it as well as particulate sediment and suspended solids from the water.All this is a space-reducing compact filter with a larger capacity.
This filter is perfect for those looking for a compact filter unit that handles most of the water’s worst contaminants. The taps have a 70mm stem and although designed to fit onto your sink, should fit through most modern-day worktop and kitchen sink tops. The hole you will be required to drill through your work surface should be between 11mm - 16mm

complete kit at a great price

This is a great kit, at a good price if you need a good water filter for your kitchen. The 3M brand is a well reviewed filter, and the tap is solid and well-made. And you get all the bits and pieces to go with it including all the tubes. Note that if you bought everything separately, it would be a lot more expensive. The water tasted really good, with no hint of chlorine at all.

The one thing to be aware of, is that the supplied saddle valve, will be easy to install, but it will not have the same flow rate as a proper 1/4" connection to your water supply. And Finerfilters can supply you with those connections.

great filter kit at a good price

If you need a straight-forward water filter kit, then look no further than this. It has everything you need, and the price is much lower than buying all the parts separately. And the 3M filter is a trusted brand.

It was easy to install, and the water tasted fab, with not a hint of chlorine.

Note that if you use the enclosed saddle valve (that makes the water connection super-easy), then you will not get the water flow volume that you would from a full 1/4" connection. So you might want to check that out.

Excellent solution

We were struggling with strongly chlorinated tap water that was difficult to drink due to the taste and odour. Fitted this kit, and the water tasted fresh like bottled water. Easy to fit, and change the cartridges without mess.

Easy to and quick to install, exactly as per the instructions. Looks smart on the work top. Instant improvement on the water quality. Doesn’t completely remove the limescale, but has improved it.

Great Bit of Kit!

This is an excellent and very reasonably priced filter and tap set. I fitted it in my motorhome and the convenience of having filtered water literally "on tap" is a godsend. We have previously toured in some fairly remote areas and have come across contaminated water more than once. This filter removes all the worry of picking up something nasty.

It isn't difficult to install, requiring only basic DIY tools. I thoroughly recommend the system.
