Admiral Puriclean II UKF8001- Replacement fridge water filter.
The Admiral, Amana, Maytag Puriclean II UKF8001 fridge water filter ref: 069207 replaces the original filter Amana Clean n Clear 12589208 and WF50, WF51 fridge water filter cartridge. Fits a number of Maytag, Amana, Whirlpool, PUR, and Jenn-Air fridges with the replacement filter fitted horizontally in the top of the refrigeration compartment.
The fridge water filter fits refrigerators with a long, narrow filter that sits in a "trough" that swings down from the ceiling of the fridge. The Admiral, Amana, Maytag Puriclean II UKF8001 will replace these older part numbers. The filter cartridge should be replaced every 6 months or when the "change filter" light comes on whichever comes first.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
1. Unlatch the plastic filter cover, and let it swing down (so you can see the filter).
2. Twist the old filter a quarter turn clockwise.
3. Pull the filter straight out and discard (do not worry the water will automatically shut off causing no leakage)
4. Push the new filter in until it stops.
5. Twist the filter a quarter turn counter clockwise.
6. Swing the plastic cover up until it snaps closed.
7. Reset your "change filter" light (if your fridge has one)
RESETTING YOUR "CHANGE FILTER" LIGHT: Press and hold your dispenser lock and auto light buttons at the same time for approx 4 seconds until the filter status indicator begins to flash then release the buttons. Or press the dispenser lock and water buttons for approx 4 seconds until the filter indicator light flashes then release the buttons.
