The FilterLogic FL-002 represents a low-cost solution for customers looking for a good quality ceramic-carbon block filter for Franke Triflow-Uniflow systems.

Franke Filters are essentially a high-quality ceramic shell filled with a carbon block element that removes chlorine, sediment and dissolved organics.

This cartridge is of similar construction, although to reduce flow problems the ceramic is not quite as refined as the original cartridge. This is due to customer demand, as it reduces blinding and prevents slow flow rates.

This means the cartridge has not been certified for use with water that is micro-biologically unsafe. If you rely on a ceramic filter as a sole source of disinfection on a private water supply (i.e. a well or a borehole) you should not use this filter.

However, if you are on a mains supply (i.e. you pay the water utility company) then this isn't a consideration and this filter should suit your purposes just fine.
