I really appreciated the discount offered by finer filters and also the reminder that the filter was ready for changing. I seem to have a unique problem however in that my domestic water system has a chlorine problem that even these filters can't eliminate. The water board, as usual, claim the stink isn't down to their flushing out the mains with chlorine to get rid of the peat residue not removed by the filtration works, but is instead down to my domestic pipework. They're the reason I had the filter tap fitted in the first place. Most of the time it does the job, but when it's really bad i.e. shows up as unsafe to drink on a pond filter kit!!! Then even the best of filters can't get rid of the stink!
