GE MWF Smartwater Fridge Water Filter Cartridge

The GE SmartWater MWF fridge water filter Cartridge fits GE and Hotpoint refrigerators with a round white plastic filter, typically mounted inside the refrigerator at the rear of the compartment - above the top shelf.

The GE Smartwater MWF fridge Filter replaces these older fridge water filter part numbers: GE SmartWater FRIDGE WATER FILTERS GWF, GWFA, GWF01, GWF06, MWFA Hotpoint HWF, HWFA.

The GE SmartWater MWF fridge water filter cartridge is tested and certified by NSF International to meet or exceed NSF-ANSI Standards 42 & 53.

The GE SmartWater MWF fridge water Filter should be replaced every 6 months or when the change filter light comes on - whichever comes first.

Installing your new GE SmartWater MWF fridge water filter:

Twist the old filter a half-turn counterclockwise.

Pull the filter straight down and discard.

Fill the new filter with water (you can use the cold water tap on your kitchen sink)

Push the new filter up into the fridge until it stops.

Twist the filter a half-turn clockwise

Reset your change filter light (if your fridge has one). Resetting your change filter light: Press and hold the reset water filter button on the dispenser for 3 seconds.
