RO Membranes For Aquariums & Ponds

If you’re installing a pond in your back garden or if you own a large aquarium, then reverse osmosis membranes are a fantastic filtering option for your fish.

Reverse osmosis works by pushing water through a semipermeable membrane but blocking any contaminants that can be found within a water supply.  They are incredibly effective, removing 90-99% of contaminants in water.

RO membranes are a great option for fish aquariums and ponds because of their ability to control algae growth, reduce harmful chemical contaminants, and filter solids and sediments.

Finerfilters RO Membrane Selection

We provide a variety of RO membranes and membrane housing that can be applied to any pond, reef, or aquarium you have. Check out some of our RO membrane offerings and accessories we have in stock:

4040 RO Membranes -  These RO membranes can handle a larger quantity of water at a greater flow rate, making them an ideal choice for garden ponds. They effectively remove solids and dissolved materials in water, all while retaining a high rejection rate of as high as 98%.

400/300/200 GPD RO Membranes - These membranes are created for low-salinity water like tap water and well reserves that are used for tanks and aquariums. They have a minimum rejection rate of 94%, averaging out at a stable rate of 95%, ensuring thorough filtering for your fish.

These filters only differ in their GPD (gallons per day) filtered. You can choose the right size for your fish pond or aquarium. Each of our RO membranes should be replaced every 1-2 years, depending on the hardness of your water.
