Water Filter Cartridges Sizes
Whether you're upgrading, replacing, or customising your filtration setup, our comprehensive size selection streamlines the process, allowing you to effortlessly identify and acquire the filter cartridges that meet your unique filtration needs.
Replacement filter cartridges aren't one size fits all. The industry has settled on a handful of standard sizes that the vast majority of housing systems are built around, and finding the right cartridge is really just a matter of matching the dimensions to your existing setup.
We stock the four most common sizes: 10" standard (10" x 2.5"), 10" jumbo (10" x 4.5"), 20" standard (20" x 2.5"), and 20" jumbo (20" x 4.5"), across a wide range of filter types including sediment, carbon block, GAC, GAC/KDF, ceramic, and refillable cartridges.
The Importance of Getting the Right Size
Fitting the wrong size cartridge is an easy mistake to make, and it's one that causes problems even if the cartridge physically fits into the housing.
A cartridge that's too narrow will allow water to bypass the filter media entirely rather than passing through it, which means contaminants go through unfiltered. Beyond fit, the size of the cartridge determines how much filter media it contains and, in turn, how long it lasts before needing replacement.
Jumbo cartridges hold considerably more media than their standard counterparts, which makes them better suited to higher flow applications or situations where you want to extend the time between changes. The 20" length doubles the media volume compared to a 10" cartridge of the same diameter, which is why 20" options are common in many whole house and commercial setups where throughput is higher.

How to Choose the Right Size
Check your existing filter housing first. The size will usually be printed on the housing itself or in the documentation that came with it. If you're not sure, measure the internal chamber length and diameter and match those to the cartridge dimensions. For under-sink and drinking water systems, 10" standard is by far the most common size. For whole house systems, pond applications, or anywhere with higher flow demands, 10" jumbo or 20" jumbo cartridges tend to be ideal.
