To all of our customers - we are currently going through a site relocation commencing 01.10.24 until 11.10.24. We aim for this to have as minimal disruption as possible, however, due to the nature of the move, there may be some slight delays in relation to order dispatch and responding to customer enquiries.

Please message us at enquiries@finerfilters.co.uk and we will aim to respond to you as soon as possible.

Thank you for being so understanding and we look forward to a new start which will offer an overall improvement to our service.

Reverse Osmosis Storage Tanks

A reverse osmosis tank plays a crucial role in storing and providing purified water efficiently, ensuring a steady supply with adequate pressure within your reverse osmosis system.

The tank also allows the system to operate more efficiently by reducing the cycling frequency on and off. This helps minimise wastewater production and optimise the storage of clean, purified water.

Finerfilters offers a range of high-quality RO tanks to meet your system requirements. With worldwide shipping available, you can optimise your system from anywhere.

Reverse Osmosis Storage Tanks & Upgrades

It’s important to make the necessary upgrades to keep your RO system working to its full potential. If you have noticed a change in your systems’ performance, consider changing the following:

RO Water Storage Tank - Reverse Osmosis tanks will need changing if you note a change in performance, such as leakage or pressure loss.

You can also add an additional tank to increase your system’s overall storage capacity.

RO Filters - RO filters (such as pre-filters and post-filters) should be changed every 6-12 months, depending on performance. You can use a TDS meter to monitor changes in water quality.

RO Membranes - The RO membrane is a critical component that removes contaminants. RO membranes usually last 12 to 24 months, depending on water quality and usage.

Whether your RO system is employed for producing clean drinking water, supporting dental procedures or maintaining an aquarium, upholding and safeguarding the high quality of water is crucial.

FAQs

How often should I replace the tank in my reverse osmosis (RO) system?

The RO tank typically doesn't have a specific replacement schedule. Instead, monitor the tank's performance and integrity regularly. If you notice leaks, loss of pressure, or other abnormalities, inspecting or replacing the tank is advisable. With proper maintenance, RO tanks can last for several years.

Can I install a reverse osmosis system without a storage tank?

While it is technically possible to design a reverse osmosis system without a storage tank, having a tank is highly recommended. Without a tank, the system may not provide a steady and immediate supply of purified water, and the efficiency of the overall filtration process could be compromised.
